This training will discuss the Laws and Regulations that apply to Alaska Private Practice Counselors including Federal Requirements related to HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, No Surprises Act, Required Licenses, Required Disclosures, and the Alaska laws related to insurance. Objectives 1. Identify the federal laws and regulations that apply to mental health counseling 2. Identify the state laws and regulations that apply to mental health counseling 3. Understand how to apply state and federal laws and regulations 4. Understand where to obtain more information regarding the laws and regulations that apply to mental health and substance abuse counseling. Includes 11 resources!
