Intern
Debbie Atwell joins GE Family Services, a division of Partners Behavioral Health as a practicum intern. She looks forward to working with military personnel, veterans, and their families, as well as individuals, couples, and children.
Deborah joins GE Family series as a Master of Clinical Mental Health Counseling intern. She is committed to supporting military personnel and their families as well as couples, individuals, and children.
Currently Deborah is working toward completing her Master program at Walden University and is expected to graduate early 2027. She holds a BA in Elementary Education, a master’s degree in teaching mathematics, and holds a principal certification. She has been an educator for 18 years and has worked in elementary schools in Anchorage, on JBER, and is currently teaching middle school math in the Palmer area.
Deborah looks forward to supporting clients via telehealth as well as in person. Her practice reflects a strong commitment to trauma informed care, supporting military as well as veterans and civilians.
Outside of work, Deborah likes to spend time with her spouse, an Army veteran, children, and grandchildren. Outdoor activities include spending time with her dogs Roxie and Cooper, and her horse Frodo. She also enjoys hiking, camping, and reading cozy murder mysteries.
