Scott is particularly skilled in working with troubled teens and young adults navigating critical life transitions, identity formation, and behavioral challenges. He has a strong track record supporting individuals struggling with addiction, and he brings compassion and clarity to his work with clients dealing with substance use, compulsive behaviors, and co-occurring mental health concerns. His clinical focus includes helping clients examine thinking errors, build emotional regulation skills, and restore self-efficacy and motivation for change.

Families in crisis often find in Scott a steady and understanding guide. Whether helping parents reconnect with their teens or assisting families struggling with addiction-related disruptions, he values open communication, realistic goal setting, and systems-focused interventions that foster lasting change. Scott’s therapeutic approach is grounded in cognitive-behavioral and motivational enhancement frameworks, and he strives to help each client grow toward their own version of a meaningful life.

These interests deepen his empathy and allow him to connect authentically with clients who may feel alienated or misunderstood.

Scott’s warm, direct style makes him especially effective with youth and young adults who are ambivalent about therapy or uncertain how to change. He believes in each person's potential for growth and works to create an environment where clients feel both challenged and supported in equal measure.
