Zachary Jones, MA, is a telehealth-only therapist with GE Family Services who supports adults in Alaska coping with anxiety, depression, religious trauma, and life transitions. He uses CBT, DBT, and ACT in a person-centered, trauma-informed approach.
I’m Zach, a person-centered therapist offering telehealth-only services to adults throughout Alaska. I work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, religious trauma, intrusive thoughts, relationship challenges, self-esteem issues, and life transitions. My approach is grounded in compassion, curiosity, and collaboration. I believe everyone deserves a safe, judgment-free space to explore who they are and where they want to go. Together, we’ll focus on understanding your experiences, identifying your strengths, and empowering your growth.

I draw from evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Solution-Focused Therapy, always adapting to meet your unique needs and goals. My therapeutic lens is trauma-informed and deeply respectful of each person’s lived experience.

Before entering the mental health field, I worked in crisis recovery, community mental health, higher education, retail, and food service. I also attended seminary and worked in various church settings, which shaped my understanding of both the healing potential and the harm that faith communities can hold. This background gives me a unique perspective when working with those recovering from religious trauma or wrestling with spiritual concerns.

Although I currently focus my work on adults, I’ve worked with individuals from ages 3 to 93. I especially enjoy walking with people through times of transition: grief, identity shifts, faith deconstruction, or simply feeling stuck. I’m here to help you make sense of your experience, reclaim your story, and move forward with clarity and intention.

Outside of sessions, I value self-care through reading fiction, writing, gaming, and slowly enjoying Alaska’s outdoors (my wife hikes, I walk). I love sci-fi, superheroes, and LEGO, and while I lean dog person, I’ve got a soft spot for cats too.

If you’re ready to begin your journey toward healing and self-discovery, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.
