My story: I am the wife of a 30-year Navy Sailor. Our story from what our family experienced while a part of the Navy has led me to where I am today as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. As a family we were able to get the help we needed to stay a strong military family. My passion was to finish my college career and pay it forward to help other military and Veteran families work to stay together. The military lifestyle comes with some unique challenges for families. When an active duty military member or Veteran is experiencing PTS (Post Traumatic Stress) their relationships can be effected. My goal is to help the family learn to understand the symptoms and become a stronger family team not just survive but thrive.
The forms of therapy I use are person-centered, strengths based, solution focused, and empowerment based. I utilize cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavioral skills training, and brainspotting. Every client’s needs are unique and individualized. Each client may need a different approach to their individual treatment plan and goals. We will work together to find what works best for you.
