Tiera joins GE Family Services as a Clinician to work with children, teens, young adults, and veterans experiencing trauma, depression, anxiety, bipolar, and psychosis.
Tiera Contini lives in Anchorage Alaska with her husband and child. When she’s not at work, she loves to occupy her time with her family, the gym, or with outdoor activities.
Tiera currently holds a bachelor of science in criminal justice in a masters of science and clinical mental health counseling. She has had experience with diverse populations. Tiera works with people who experience a variety of emotional and behavioral challenges that include depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, addiction, and more. Her treatment approach varies because she believes in tailoring treatment to meet the needs of the individual. The foundation of her approach is derived from trauma informed, person centered, and cognitive-behavioral theories. She emphasizes the importance of an open and productive therapeutic alliance, in which genuine interactions can provide opportunities for growth and insight. Tiera strives to create a nonjudgmental environment for clients to reflect on and expand the stories of their lives
